The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, is making commendable strides in Special Campaign 5.0, launched on October 2, 2024. DAHD, along with its subordinate offices, has been diligently working to meet the campaign’s objectives, achieving significant milestones as of October 16, 2025.
Key Achievements in Special Campaign 5.0
DAHD’s efforts in Special Campaign 5.0 have yielded impressive results across various parameters. Below is a summary of the progress made against the set targets:
- Public Grievance Resolution: Out of 214 targeted public grievances, 158 have been successfully resolved, showcasing the department’s commitment to addressing citizen concerns.
- Cleanliness Initiatives: Of the 221 targeted sites, 132 have been cleaned, contributing to the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign. Additionally, these efforts have generated ₹3,44,827 in revenue from cleanliness drives.
- File Management: The department reviewed 11,625 out of 24,645 physical files, with 7,797 weeded out to streamline operations. Additionally, 8 out of 680 e-files have been closed.
- Process Simplification: One rule or process has been simplified, meeting the target for easing administrative procedures.
- Pending References: Progress is ongoing for resolving 15 MP references (3 resolved), 5 parliamentary assurances (0 resolved), 8 state government references (0 resolved), 3 PMO references (0 resolved), and 35 public grievance appeals (0 resolved).
Strategic Implementation and Monitoring
To ensure the success of Special Campaign 5.0, DAHD conducted a preparatory meeting on September 12, 2025, chaired by the Secretary, DAHD. The meeting focused on sensitizing officers about the campaign’s goals, particularly emphasizing the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ initiative. Key actions included:
- Appointing ten sub-nodal officers to oversee campaign activities.
- Conducting three review meetings to finalize targets and monitor progress.
- Evaluating mid-campaign achievements to ensure alignment with objectives.
