What the order says

Which areas are covered
The order lists clear boundary points for the new police station jurisdiction. These boundaries include landmarks such as the Supreme Court Metro Station to the north and the Ring Road/Bhairon Road and Mathura Road junctions to the south and west as described in the Schedule of the notification. The full list of directions and boundary descriptions appears in the Schedule of the notification below.The notification has been issued in exercise of powers under the Delhi Police Act, 1978 and clause (u) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. It also references the Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. S.O. 2506 (E), dated 28th June, 2024. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
Why this matters to the public
The notification creates a dedicated police jurisdiction for the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan during the dates the Fair is held. This legally defines which police station will handle law and order, first response, and related policing matters for the event area. Citizens, visitors, exhibitors, vendors, and transport operators who will be at or around Pragati Maidan during the Fair should note the temporary jurisdiction change for lodging complaints or seeking police assistance.
