Argentina Beach Handball Team Defined for IHF Global Tour in Brazil

The men’s beach handball national team has its team defined to compete in the final phase of the IHF Global Tour, from November 7 to 9 in João Pessoa, Brazil. The tournament will also feature teams from Brazil, Croatia, and Spain.

Defining the Roster and Tournament Importance

Those led by Sebastián Ferraro, who already participated in the first phase of the 2023 and 2024 editions, will compete for the first time in the final stage of this competition.

Measuring Up Against Global Powers

This tournament has enormous importance for us and for Argentine beach handball. Because it allows us to measure ourselves against Brazil and European powers. It is an opportunity to show our growth and that with work, commitment, and an identity of our own, we can be on par with the best in the world,” affirms the Argentine coach.

Focus on Croatia 2026 World Championship Qualification

The Argentine team’s main objective this year is to secure qualification for the Croatia 2026 World Championship, and Ferraro highlights the importance of this tournament facing that goal: “We give this Global Tour the importance that a tournament of such prestige deserves, but we understand it as an important step, of international category, in the preparation for the South/Central American Championship which is the qualifier for Croacia 2026.”

The Role of CeNARD in Preparation

Within the framework of their preparation for these objectives, the Argentine squad had the National Center for High Performance Sports (CeNARD) as the epicenter for a series of meetings held during the year. “We started the year with a broad base of young players and we were using each concentration as an instance of evaluation and development. In the absence of official tournaments, the concentrations at the CeNARD had enormous value,” explains Ferraro, adding: “having that space is key to being able to sustain the work throughout the year, consolidate a methodology, and strengthen the game identity we seek as a national team.”

The Argentina Squad

The Argentine team, which will travel to Brazil in the days leading up to the tournament, will be confirmed by Ramiro Fernández, Joaquín Guillamón, Francisco Núñez Muller, Santiago Vidondo, Ezequiel Rozitchner, Lucas Coronel, Valentín Zocco, Santino Sposito, Nahuel Baptista, and Juan Bautista Dirr.
