Trade Mission to Georgia and Armenia Under ‘New Horizons’ Initiative
DUBAI, 22nd October, 2025 – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, operating under Dubai Chambers, successfully conducted 294 bilateral business meetings in Tbilisi, Georgia, connecting companies from Dubai and Georgia. These meetings were part of a trade mission to Georgia and Armenia under the ‘New Horizons’ initiative, designed to support the global expansion of Dubai-based businesses by exploring high-potential international markets.
Diverse Sectors Represented in Trade Mission
The trade mission featured 15 Dubai-based companies from sectors including automotive, building materials, construction, energy, renewables, food and beverages, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, industrial engineering, chemicals, and shipping and logistics. The initiative aimed to foster partnerships and unlock new opportunities for these businesses in Georgia.
Business Forum: ‘Doing Business with Georgia’
A key highlight of the mission was the “Doing Business with Georgia” business forum held in Tbilisi, organized with support from the UAE Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Embassy of Georgia in the UAE, Invest in Georgia, the Business Association of Georgia, and the Georgian Business Council. The forum attracted 204 participants, including senior officials, business leaders, and Georgian companies eager to collaborate with Dubai’s delegation.
Notable speakers included Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Georgia; George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE; Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers; and Giorgi Pertaia, President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Investment
Salem Alshamsi emphasized the mission’s role in strengthening international business ties, stating, “This trade mission reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening international business relationships and unlocking new horizons for Dubai-based companies. We are confident the connections made will pave the way for new partnerships and contribute to continued growth in bilateral trade with Georgia.”
In 2024, non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia reached AED2.8 billion, marking a significant 58.5% annual growth. By June 2025, 114 Georgian companies were registered as active members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
Opportunities for Dubai Companies in Georgia
During the forum, Dubai Chambers presented Dubai’s competitive economic advantages for global investors. Meanwhile, Invest in Georgia highlighted the country’s investor-friendly policies, liberal economic framework, and strategic trade access, positioning Georgia as an attractive destination for investment. Key export products from Dubai to Georgia include mobile phones, perfumes, vehicles, computers, textiles, and aluminium. Promising investment sectors for Dubai-based companies in Georgia include transport, warehousing, tourism, food and beverage, ceramics, glass, plastic production, and real estate.
