Diplomatic Meetings in Bucharest

The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will spend two days in the Romanian capital to hold discussions with senior national leadership. During the visit, he will meet President Nicuşor Dan, followed by talks with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. His agenda also includes meetings with Mircea Abrudean, who leads the Senate, and Sorin Grindeanu, the head of the Chamber of Deputies, along with other officials closely involved in foreign and defence policies.

Focus on Defence Production and Industry Ties

A central part of the visit will be participation in the NATO-Industry Forum. Mark Rutte is expected to underline the growing need for strengthening defence production capabilities and the importance of sustained cooperation between NATO members and industrial partners.
