The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) in the United States has reported that, as of October 22, 2025, 339 Saudi students are pursuing cybersecurity studies across more than 85 U.S. universities. This initiative includes 231 students enrolled in bachelor’s programs, 81 in master’s programs, and 27 in doctoral programs, covering both academic and applied tracks that align with Saudi Arabia’s national digital economy goals.
Strategic Investment in Human Capital
Tahany Aleisa, Cultural Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in the United States, Acting Attaché in Canada, and Supervisor for South American Countries, emphasized the importance of this program during Cybersecurity Awareness Month. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Aleisa highlighted that sponsoring students in cybersecurity is a key component of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program. The initiative aims to develop a skilled generation to enhance Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in cybersecurity.

Partnerships and Knowledge Transfer
The scholarship programs are supported by partnerships with leading U.S. universities and centers of excellence. SACM ensures continuous monitoring of student performance, providing opportunities for practical training and facilitating the transfer of expertise to Saudi national entities upon graduation. This structured approach aims to strengthen the Kingdom’s cybersecurity infrastructure and maintain its competitive edge internationally.
