Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Planning and Development Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Alahmari stated that Riyadh has developed into an international center for strengthening youth capabilities and equipping them with future-focused industrial skills. He explained that this progress has resulted from global partnerships, effective public-private cooperation, and workforce planning guided by accurate data in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

He delivered his remarks during the Youth Day main session, which examined the alignment of education, technology, and industry to support the next generation of industrial sector leaders, held as part of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s 21st General Conference in Riyadh.

The assistant minister added that the swift industrial transformation worldwide, driven by artificial intelligence, automation, digitalization, clean technologies, and advanced manufacturing, has made skill development a national requirement rather than an optional pursuit.

He further noted that the ministry has worked to establish an integrated human-capacity framework that connects the labor market with national competency standards and specialized training academies, ensuring that human development pathways correspond to the operational needs of factories.
