Shura Council Leaders of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Discuss Enhanced Cooperation

Manama – Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh met with Bahraini Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Bahraini Shura Council Chairman Ali Al Saleh at his residence in Manama. The meeting took place alongside the 19th periodic session of speakers of the Shura, representatives, and national councils of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The leaders discussed methods to strengthen cooperation between the Saudi Shura Council and both chambers of Bahrain’s legislative authority. The meeting also addressed the agenda of the ongoing GCC parliamentary gathering and included the exchange of views on several issues of mutual concern among member states, highlighting the commitment to deepening Gulf legislative coordination.
Vice Minister Khalil Ibn Salamah Discusses Industrial Integration with Egypt
Cairo – Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil Ibn Salamah held meetings in Egypt with senior government officials and private sector leaders to enhance industrial integration and promote joint investments in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and automotive components.
During his visit, Eng. Ibn Salamah met with Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan Elkhatib to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral industrial integration and develop value chains between the two nations. The discussions also covered potential opportunities in investment and trade, reflecting a shared interest in expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Vice Minister also met with Federation of Egyptian Industries Chairman Eng. Mohamed El-Sewedy to explore initiatives for deepening industrial collaboration and boosting Saudi exports to African markets. He attended the Smart Transport, Logistics and Infrastructure Fair and Forum for the MEA Region in Cairo, where he reviewed modern smart transport and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
As part of his program, Ibn Salamah toured prominent industrial facilities including Mobica, Valeo, and Utopia Pharmaceuticals. These visits enabled firsthand observation of production processes and advanced technologies aligning with Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Strategy, which emphasizes industrial localization, innovation, and regional integration.
