Saudi Épée Fencer Secures Bronze at Islamic Solidarity Games

Riyadh Saudi national fencing team athlete Khalifa Al‑Amiri secured the bronze medal in the Épée discipline at the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025). He was defeated by gold medalist Meyirkhan Timurov of Uzbekistan with a score of 13‑15.

Al‑Amiri reached the semi‑finals after a strong performance, defeating Kuwait’s Abdulrahman Al‑Manea 15‑5 in the Round of 32, Türkiye’s Doruk Erolçevik 15‑9, and overcoming Uzbekistan’s Yerlik Sertay in the quarter‑finals 15‑14.

In the women’s competition, the Saudi national women’s team lost to Azerbaijan 8‑21 and to Côte d’Ivoire 10‑16.
