Significant Increase in Passenger Traffic
In the third quarter of 2025, Sharjah Airport welcomed 5,127,120 passengers, reflecting a 16.7% surge compared to 4.39 million passengers in Q3 2024. This growth underscores the airport’s growing prominence as a key aviation hub both regionally and globally.
Rise in Flight Operations
The airport recorded 30,737 scheduled and non-scheduled flights, a 10.7% increase from the 27,758 flights in the same period last year, highlighting enhanced operational activity.

Boost in Cargo and Sea-Air Freight
Cargo operations grew by 3.9%, handling 48,073 tonnes in Q3 2025 compared to 46,284 tonnes in 2024. Notably, sea-air freight saw a significant 32.8% increase, rising from 3,236 tonnes to 4,296 tonnes.

Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, attributed the robust performance to ongoing investments in infrastructure, capacity enhancements, and digital transformation. These efforts have improved efficiency and elevated the passenger experience, aligning with Sharjah’s long-term development goals.
