Parole Board Names New Non-Executive Director of the Management Committee

The Parole Board has announced the appointment of Mark Hamilton OBE as the new Non-Executive Director of its Management Committee, with the role commencing on 4 December 2025. His term will continue for three years until 3 December 2028.

Hamilton brings over three decades of experience in policing and public-sector leadership, having most recently served as Deputy Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland. In that position, he held executive responsibility for ethics, organisational performance, intelligence, and strategic risk, and was involved in several sensitive and high-profile operational decisions.

Role and Expectations

His background in leadership and public service is expected to contribute to the Management Committee’s ongoing efforts to protect the public and support effective risk-based decision-making.

Appointments to the position of Non-Executive Committee Member are made by the Parole Board with the approval of the Secretary of State.
