Widespread Participation Across DoPT
DoPT officers and staff across its nationwide offices have embraced the campaign with enthusiasm. Over 585 cleanliness sites have been covered, demonstrating a strong commitment to creating cleaner and more organized workplaces.
Promoting Awareness Through Social Media
The campaign has gained significant traction on platforms like X and Facebook, with the hashtag #SpecialCampaign5.0 fostering widespread engagement. Through regular posts, DoPT is raising awareness about the importance of clean and efficient work environments. The recent relocation of DoPT to Kartavya Bhawan 3 in Delhi has further boosted collaboration, offering a modern office space conducive to productivity.
Efficient Records Management and Space Optimization
Since the campaign’s launch on October 2, 2025, DoPT has reviewed 52,112 physical files and 2,474 e-files, weeding out 20,391 files and closing completed e-files. Additionally, 16 cleanliness campaigns have been conducted, resulting in the disposal of waste and scrap, generating ₹2,80,890 in revenue, and freeing up 8,228 square feet of office space.
Swift Resolution of Pending Matters
Special Campaign 5.0 has prioritized addressing pending matters efficiently. DoPT has resolved 350 public grievances, 105 public grievance appeals, 15 MP references, 1 inter-ministry reference (Cabinet Proposal), and 7 PMO references during the campaign period.
Engaging Activities and Events
Several impactful activities have been organized to promote cleanliness and efficiency:
- Swachh Bharat Diwas (October 2, 2025): A cleanliness drive, led by the Secretary of DoPT, was held at Grih Kalyan Kendra, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, involving officers and staff from DoPT, GKK, and CCSCSB. A plantation drive, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, was also conducted, with safaimitras and school children recognized for their contributions.
- Cyber Swachhata Awareness: Two workshops on cyber security were held on September 17 and 23, 2025, during the preparatory phase to educate employees on maintaining cyber hygiene.
- Engagement Initiatives: Activities like slogan writing competitions, Swachhata quizzes, and essay writing contests have seen enthusiastic participation, fostering a culture of awareness and involvement.
