Prime Minister Pays Tribute to Lachit Borphukan on Lachit Diwas

On the occasion of Lachit Diwas, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi remembered Lachit Borphukan and referred to him as a symbol of courage, patriotism, and leadership.

Shri Modi noted that Lachit Borphukan’s bravery continues to motivate people across the country. He emphasized Lachit Borphukan’s important contribution in protecting the cultural heritage of Assam and promoting the principles of unity and resilience.

In separate posts on X, Shri Modi said that on Lachit Diwas, the nation recalls Lachit Borphukan as a symbol of courage, patriotism, and leadership, whose bravery continues to inspire generations and who played a key role in safeguarding the culture of Assam.
