The Indian Navy is set to significantly enhance its space-based communication infrastructure with the launch of GSAT-7R, also known as CMS-03. The Indian Space Research Organisation has scheduled the launch for 02 November 2025 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The satellite represents the most technologically advanced dedicated communication asset developed so far for naval use.
