
Inauguration of a Promising Food Venture
A young and dynamic entrepreneur, Khoansen Tangdong, has launched her innovative venture, “Sweet Fairy” Cloud Kitchen, an online food service located near Pinewood Secondary School, Khonsa, adjacent to the Nocte Women Association’s office. The Cloud Kitchen was inaugurated with enthusiasm by Wanglin Lowangdong, Hon’ble MLA of 57-Borduria-Bogapani (ST) Constituency and Advisor to the Hon’ble Minister of Environment & Forests, alongside Techu Aran, Deputy Commissioner of Tirap. The event was graced by dignitaries including Assistant Commissioners N. L. Naam and Yowa Anya, Chairperson of Nocte Women Association Chasuam Wangchadong, BJP District President Lankham Wangsu, BJP District Secretary Nahang Tangjang, members of the Nocte Women Association, and IPR representative Gawang Sumpa.
Empowering Local Youth and Promoting Self-Employment
During the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner Techu Aran congratulated Khoansen for her entrepreneurial spirit, highlighting that the Cloud Kitchen not only represents a self-employment venture but also provides jobs to four local youths. He emphasized that such initiatives embody the essence of “Vocal for Local” and serve as an inspiration for educated unemployed girls aspiring to become job providers rather than job seekers.
Encouragement for Business Expansion
Wanglin Lowangdong also lauded Khoansen Tangdong’s efforts, encouraging her to expand her online business. He noted the growing demand for trained chefs offering a variety of cakes and savory items in Khonsa and surrounding villages, especially for birthdays and special occasions. He extended his best wishes to Khoansen and her team for a successful entrepreneurial journey.
A Passion for Baking Brought to Khonsa
In her interaction with attendees, Khoansen Tangdong shared her journey in the culinary arts, having completed professional pastry training at Truffle Nation, Delhi. She established Sweet Fairy Cloud Kitchen to bring her expertise and passion for baking to her hometown. Khoansen assured customers of high-quality, delicious baked goods and savory dishes prepared in a clean and hygienic environment by her well-trained staff.
Gratitude and Support for the Venture
Khoansen expressed heartfelt gratitude to Wanglin Lowangdong and Techu Aran for attending the inauguration despite their busy schedules. She also thanked the District Planning Officer, District Tourism Officer, and Branch Manager, SBI Khonsa, for their support in securing the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY) scheme, 2025, which played a crucial role in establishing the Cloud Kitchen.
