Deepawali and Kali Puja Across the State

The festival of lights, Deepawali, is being celebrated across the entire state today. Market centers, residences in Nagaon, and various organizations/institutions have been illuminated with earthen lamps and a variety of colorful electric lights. Deepawali is also being celebrated in the Guwahati Metropolitan area.

In various places of the state, Kali Puja is being celebrated with multi-day programs starting from yesterday. The 40th Kali Puja, organized with a two-day program starting from yesterday at the Salanpara Kali Mandir in Mangaldoi of Darrang district, will conclude today. Competitions such as drawing, Uruli (a traditional sound made by women), and others are also held in connection with the Puja.

AIR Dibrugarh Platinum Jubilee Awareness Program in Marigaon

On the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of All India Radio (AIR) Dibrugarh, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) today conducted an awareness program on fire safety and earthquake safety for the 5 lakh people of Marigaon district in collaboration with the local public organization ‘Janamajuri’. In connection with this, an appeal was made in the District Commissioner’s conference hall, which was organized by the District Administration, to provide free medical treatment up to Rs. 2 lakh for 15 days in case of a disaster, and to prepare the necessary basic infrastructure for this treatment. During the meeting, a commitment was also made by the government to provide special assistance to Marigaon, where 15 days of disaster management activities will be carried out with the help of social organizations, to give permanent shelter to the affected people. On the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of AIR Dibrugarh, the Branch Officer of Guwahati’s DDDL (Digital Display and Data Loggers) also addressed the gathering. This was about Marigaon.

Media Cooperation and Future Development for AIR Dibrugarh

Regarding the report on the Platinum Jubilee of All India Radio (AIR) Dibrugarh, the distinguished reporter of Assam Tribune, Mr. Gautam Purkayastha, and the esteemed reporter of Assam Tribune, Mr. Bijoy Karun Gowala, met for a discussion today regarding the Platinum Jubilee of AIR Dibrugarh and published a national-level report. On the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of AIR Dibrugarh, an assurance has been given to provide comprehensive coverage of the two-year long program, with approximately 3 pages of discussion already published. AHSEC HS Exam Application Deadline Extended

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has announced that the online submission of application forms and fee payment for the HS (Higher Secondary) First Year and HS Second Year Final Examinations for the current year, which were already initiated for educational institutions, will continue until November 20. AHSEC also informed that it is necessary to submit the application forms and fee payment in an online mode for the HS First Year and HS Second Year Final Examinations for the current year. It is directed to the head of every educational institution to ensure the submission of the application forms for all students within the stipulated time limit. Students must keep the prescribed manual (printed booklet/information) ready for the examination. It is requested that the government policy for the examination manual of students from financially weaker families with an annual income of less than Rs. 2 lakh should be followed.

Mega Health Melas Organized in Karbi Anglong and Tamulpur

A Health Mela (fair) has been organized from yesterday at the Sorobori playground in Dokmoka, Karbi Anglong district. Free treatment is being provided to children and adolescents up to 18 years of age at this mela. The District Joint Director of Health informed this at a press conference organized under the auspices of the National Health Mission. Meanwhile, a Mega Health Mela will be held tomorrow at the playground of Tamulpur Commerce College. According to the disclosure made by Chadra Kakati, Joint Director of Health, Tamulpur District, at a press conference this evening, this Health Mela, organized under the initiative of the Tamulpur District Health Committee and with the cooperation of the District Administration, will be held from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM tomorrow. Free treatment for 50 types of diseases will be arranged for all children and adolescents up to 18 years of age at the Health Mela.

Morigaon Inter-District Football League Final Results

The final match of the Inter-District Football League Tournament, organized by the Morigaon District Sports Association and Football Sub-Committee, was held today at the Morigaon District Sports Association Playground between Chirakhan Bagicha and Charu Satish Club. In the final match of the tournament, Kokajani Sports Club defeated Malukh Football Club by a margin of 4-1 goals. The President of the District Sports Association, Ramakanta Dekuri, inaugurated this tournament.
