Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap Experiencing the Initiative Firsthand
Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap visited Teerathgarh to review this new initiative. He personally experienced bamboo rafting and kayaking in the Moongabahar stream, highlighting the activity’s adventurous appeal.
The Minister emphasized that such eco-tourism activities will not only promote tourism but also create new employment opportunities for local youth. He stated that the government is committed to providing livelihood options in rural and forest areas through tourism, enabling local communities to achieve self-reliance and economic growth within their own regions.
Promoting Sustainable Tourism in Bastar Division
During the visit, Shri Kedar Kashyap interacted with members of the Eco Development Committee, noting that under state government initiatives, tourism in Bastar division is being developed in innovative ways. Eco-tourism projects at natural sites like Teerathgarh aim to strengthen the local economy while enhancing Chhattisgarh’s cultural and natural identity at national and international levels.
