District Administration Rohtak carried out a demolition drive against unauthorized colonies being developed in controlled and urban areas. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that continuous action is being taken to prevent illegal construction and unapproved colonies in the district.

Four Illegal Colonies Demolished

As part of the latest action, four illegal colonies being developed over approximately 6.5 acres of land in village Bhalaut, Bohar and Pada Mohalla were demolished. The demolition included 10 DPCs, both kutcha and pucca road networks, three boundary walls and sewerage systems.

Sachin Gupta stated that the campaign to remove unauthorized constructions will continue in future as well. He said that illegal colonies will not be allowed to develop in the district.

Deployment of Police and Planning Staff

Officers and staff of the District Town Planner Office were present during the drive. Adequate police force was deployed to maintain law and order and to prevent any untoward incident during the demolition process.

Appeal to Citizens

The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens not to invest their earnings in unauthorized constructions or unapproved colonies. He said that the administration conducts demolition drives at regular intervals and such investments may lead to financial loss.

District Town Planner Sumandeep also appealed to citizens not to put their savings into illegally developed plots by dealers or land owners. She advised that before investing in any property, citizens can visit the Sector-1 office on any working day to verify land and layout approvals.
