District-level Commemoration Held in Rohtak

The district administration organized a remembrance ceremony marking 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram. The event took place at the Tagore Auditorium of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Rajya Sabha MP Kartikeya Sharma attended as the chief guest, while former minister Manish Grover participated as the special guest. Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, and District BJP President Ranbir Dhaka were also present.

Exhibition, Group Singing, Film Screening and Live Message

The district-level event featured an exhibition on Vande Mataram, collective singing of the national song, and the screening of a short film based on it. A virtual message from the Prime Minister was also broadcast during the ceremony. MP Kartikeya Sharma, along with the Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner, visited the exhibition which displayed the history and significance of the song composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875. The national song played an important role in spreading awareness and awakening during the freedom movement. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest.

Vande Mataram as a Symbol of National Spirit

Addressing the audience, MP Kartikeya Sharma said that this remembrance ceremony is a festival of national consciousness. He stated that Vande Mataram is the soul of the nation and symbolizes the spirit of citizens. He emphasized that the song united freedom fighters with a strong sense of patriotism and sacrifice. He urged the youth to always remember the supreme contributions of known and unknown martyrs.

Youth Participation Encouraged

MP Sharma encouraged the youth to actively participate in year-long national celebration activities. He highlighted that the national song reflects the unity in diversity of the country. He mentioned that the Prime Minister aims to see India become a developed nation by 2047 and said that every citizen must fulfill their responsibility to achieve this vision. The program concluded with the state song.

Guests Honored and Cultural Presentation

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta presented a memento to the chief guest. All dignitaries were welcomed with floral bouquets. Students of the Model School performed a band presentation of the national song. Senior officials from various departments were also in attendance.
