
Grand District-Level Event Held at Government PG Nehru College Auditorium
The 150th remembrance of the national song Vande Mataram was observed in Jhajjar with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Government PG Nehru College auditorium. Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Ravindra Patil inaugurated the district-level event by lighting a ceremonial lamp before a portrait of Bharat Mata. The ceremony was attended by Zila Parishad Chairman Captain Singh Birdhana, along with a large gathering representing different age groups and social backgrounds.
Prime Minister Joined Virtually for Collective Singing
Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the event through a virtual platform and led a collective singing of Vande Mataram across the country. The audience in Jhajjar participated with a unified voice and rhythmic harmony. The hall resonated with the powerful chant of Vande Mataram, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic energy.
Chief Minister Administered Pledge to Promote Swadeshi
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also joined virtually. He encouraged the youth to adopt the country’s cultural values and swadeshi traditions. He administered a pledge urging participants to promote and practice indigenous products and values. He stated that Vande Mataram symbolizes dedication, sacrifice, and pride toward the nation.
Inspirational Address by the Deputy Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Ravindra Patil delivered a motivational address, emphasising that the occasion represents love, commitment, and devotion to the motherland. He described Vande Mataram as a source of inspiration and a reflection of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Highlighting its role in the freedom movement, he noted that the national song emerged as a powerful call to freedom fighters and remains held in equal respect to the national anthem.
Cultural Performances and Exhibitions Marked the Celebration
Students from various institutions, including PM Shri Dujana, PM Shri Beri, and Sanskaram School, presented patriotic songs, group dances, theatrical acts, and performances based on historic legends. The cultural presentations stirred a sense of pride among the audience.
A special exhibition showcasing the historical journey and significance of Vande Mataram was also inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner. It displayed archival photographs, documents, and references highlighting the song’s role in India’s struggle for independence.
Youth Engaged at Themed Selfie Points
A selfie point designed with Vande Mataram themes drew strong interest from the youth. Students and citizens captured memorable moments and shared them on social media, reflecting their enthusiasm and patriotic sentiment.
