Integrated College to Strengthen Traditional Health Learning

The newly constructed Government Integrated College of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy in Talwandi, Kota was inaugurated in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa. The institution aims to provide advanced learning and practice opportunities in traditional Indian health sciences.

Speaking at the ceremony, Om Birla said that Ayurveda and Yoga represent an ancient philosophy of balanced living and well-being. He added that this new institution will help students contribute to research, holistic treatment methods and community health advancement in the Hadoti region.

Institution to be Named After Daudayal Joshi

Remembering former MP and respected Ayurveda expert late Daudayal Joshi, Birla mentioned that he laid the initial foundation of Ayurveda healthcare in Kota. Naming the college after him was described as an appropriate tribute to his lifelong service in promoting traditional healthcare systems.

Development of Ayurveda Mediscity

Plans have been outlined to promote specialized therapy practices including clinical research, hydrotherapy, cryotherapy and therapeutic massage. The initiative also focuses on quality control and scientific standardization of medicinal products.

A proposal is in place to develop an Ayurveda Mediscity and herbal industry park on 50 bigha land in Kota. This is expected to support wellness tourism, healthcare services and employment opportunities.

Kota to Grow as an Ayurveda and Yoga Hub

Deputy Chief Minister and AYUSH Minister Premchand Bairwa stated that Ayurveda represents a lifestyle approach rooted in harmony with nature. Under the guidance of the state leadership, Kota will be developed into a central hub for Ayurveda and Yoga education and treatment services.

He noted that Rajasthan is currently positioned among the leading states in the AYUSH sector, with development projects worth Rs 348 crore already approved under the National AYUSH Mission. An Ayurveda hospital is also planned for Bundi district.

Wellness Facilities to Expand Community Access

Kota MLA Sandeep Sharma shared that plans are underway to establish a wellness center worth Rs 10 crore to provide citizens with modern holistic healthcare services. The event was attended by senior administrative and academic officials, students and local residents. College Principal Dr Nityanand Sharma concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
