Bhajanlal Sharma Government Boosts Farmer Welfare with ₹8,386 Crore Direct Transfers

Jaipur, October 18, 2025: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and local MP Bhagirath Choudhary attended the “Kisan Utsav” event held at the National Seed Spices Research Centre in Tabiji, Ajmer. The event was organized under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, with a large number of local farmers in attendance.

Significant Financial Support for Farmers

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Bhagirath Choudhary emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government has provided substantial support to farmers. On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, the fourth installment of ₹718 crore was directly transferred to the accounts of 71.8 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Enhanced Assistance for Rajasthan’s Farmers

Minister Choudhary highlighted that eligible farmers in Rajasthan now receive an additional ₹3,000 annually from the state government, on top of the ₹6,000 provided under the central government’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This brings the total annual financial assistance to ₹9,000 per farmer. Over the past 21 months, a staggering ₹8,386 crore has been directly transferred to farmers’ accounts, showcasing transparency and good governance.

Empowering Farmers for a Prosperous Rajasthan

Union Minister Choudhary stated that the prosperity of farmers is the foundation of Rajasthan’s development. Both the state and central governments are committed to making agriculture self-reliant and profitable. He urged farmers to take advantage of various government schemes, adopt modern agricultural techniques, and enhance their productivity.

The event was attended by Ajmer District Collector Lokbandhu, Managing Director of the Cooperation Department Harish Siwasia, DR Rajeev Kachot, Director of the National Seed Spices Research Institute Dr. Vinay Bhardwaj, Chairman and Senior Scientist of the Agricultural Science Centre Dr. Dharmendra Singh Bhati, scientists from the Agricultural Science Centre, officials from various departments, and a large number of local farmers.
