Jaipur, 06 November. As part of a sustained effort to support former service personnel and their families, the Mechanised Infantry Regiment’s dedicated outreach group, known as the “Nirantar Milaap Team,” arrived in Jaipur. The visit focused on listening to the concerns related to pension and welfare issues of ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, and dependents, and ensuring guidance for possible solutions.

A Continuing National Initiative

The outreach is an integral segment of the broader national program called “Mission Nirantar Milaap,” which seeks to maintain regular communication with former personnel across the country. The initiative underscores ongoing engagement rather than one-time events, making it possible to address welfare-linked matters more effectively.

Leadership and Operational Structure

The effort is being conducted under the direction of the Colonel of the Regiment, Lieutenant General P.N.S. Shekhawat, PVSM, AVSM, SM. The team commenced its journey from the Mechanised Infantry Centre and School in Ahmednagar. Furthermore, the structured implementation of this campaign is guided by Centre Commandant Brigadier P. Sunil Kumar, SM, along with Chief Record Officer Lieutenant Colonel Ashok Kumar.

Interaction at District Sainik Welfare Office

During the session, former servicemen and families shared their concerns regarding pensions, documentation, welfare facilities, and associated administrative procedures. The team took note of the issues and offered practical suggestions aimed at easing procedural difficulties wherever possible.

Extending Outreach to Households

In addition to formal interactions, the campaign also includes doorstep engagement. The team has been visiting homes of ex-servicemen across several districts to ensure that those unable to attend group meetings are not left without assistance.

Active Participation and Future Schedule

A significant number of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris took part in the Jaipur program and appreciated the continuity of support being extended. The Nirantar Milaap campaign will remain active across different parts of the country for the coming year, progressing in planned phases.
