Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has intensified his direct engagement with the public following the conclusion of the state’s Rajat Jayanti celebrations. On Tuesday, he held a Jan Milan program at the Chief Sevak Sadan located in the Chief Minister’s Camp Office, where he personally listened to the grievances and concerns of citizens who came from across the state.
Chief Minister Emphasizes Timely and Transparent Redressal
During the program, Chief Minister Dhami instructed officials to ensure prompt action on all complaints and demands received from citizens. He emphasized that regular feedback mechanisms should be established to monitor the progress of grievance resolution. He said that such interactions must be used as an opportunity to bring the administration closer to the people.
The Chief Minister stated that the government’s key objective is to resolve public issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. For this, every department must act responsibly and demonstrate an active, sensitive approach in alignment with public expectations. He directed that the process of grievance redressal be made simpler, more transparent, and accessible through the use of technology.
Public Participation in Policy Making
Dhami highlighted that the state’s Rajat Jayanti Year marks an important opportunity for public participation and dialogue. He said that suggestions and demands received from the public during such interactions would be incorporated into the policy-making process. This participatory approach, he added, will help ensure that development initiatives are aligned with the needs of citizens.
Focus on Citizen-Centric Governance
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s constant effort is to ensure that every citizen of Uttarakhand benefits directly from development programs. He urged people to provide constructive suggestions in the interest of the state and to actively participate in initiatives aimed at public welfare and service delivery.
Dhami affirmed that every policy and decision of his government is centered on the welfare of the people and the comprehensive development of the state. The Chief Minister’s Office and the Department of Information and Public Relations coordinated the event, which underscored the administration’s renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.
