The week-long observance, themed “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” witnessed broad participation from employees, stakeholders, and local communities.

Ethics and Integrity Under the Spotlight

The observance began on 27th October 2025 with an integrity pledge and included activities like essay competitions, elocution contests, and digital outreach initiatives. NMDC also rolled out an extensive awareness initiative that started on August 18, 2025, and will continue until November 17, 2025. A key highlight was the inclusion of the iGOT online module, where officers gained insights into vigilance administration through digital training.

Community-Centric Initiatives

To ensure the awareness extended beyond its offices, NMDC organized Gram Sabhas at project sites involving local communities. These meetings highlighted the role of collective vigilance in nurturing honesty and transparency within and beyond the organization.

Closing Ceremony Highlights

The valedictory function on November 1, 2025, was marked by a keynote address from Major General Ajay Misra, who underscored the intrinsic link between integrity and institutional culture. He spoke of vigilance as a habit rooted in self-awareness, fostering environments based on trust and accountability.

Senior NMDC leaders including Director (Technical) Shri Vinay Kumar and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri C Neelakanta Reddy addressed the gathering, emphasizing the use of data, digital tools, and preventive vigilance to build stronger systems. They commended the proactive approach of the vigilance team in promoting fairness at every level of decision-making.

Youth and Employee Engagement

A variety of competitions brought together employees and young participants from regions like Hyderabad, Jagdalpur, Nagarnar, and others. The contests encouraged creative expression on themes related to integrity and ethics, with winners receiving recognition during the closing ceremony.
