Government College – Approval

The Higher Education Department has approved the establishment of four new government colleges in Jashpur and Bastar districts. These colleges will be opened in Farsabahar and Kardega (Jashpur) and Nagarnar and Kilepal (Bastar). The State Government has also approved the creation of a total of one hundred and thirty-two posts for these four colleges and granted permission to start classes. The approved posts include Principal, Assistant Professor, Librarian, Sports Officer, Assistant Grade-I, and Laboratory attendant, etc.

Presidential Honour

President Droupadi Murmu has honoured Balod district with the ‘Screen Felicitation Award’. This award was given for the district’s outstanding work under the ‘Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan’. In a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on October seventeenth, the President presented the Screen Felicitation Award to Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department.

Teacher – Action

The State School Education Department has completed the process of rationalization of schools and teachers and has subsequently posted surplus teachers. This posting was done through counseling by committees formed at the district, division, and directorate levels. According to the Directorate of Public Education, despite the posting orders being issued, some teachers have not yet joined duty. The list of such teachers has been sent to the government by the Joint Divisional Directors. The government will soon begin the process of disciplinary action against such teachers as per rules.

Ministry – Biometric

The General Administration Department has started the process of implementing the Aadhaar-enabled biometric attendance system for all officers and employees working in the Ministry. This system will be effective from December first. In this regard, the General Administration Department has issued instructions to the Secretaries in charge of all departments of the Ministry, asking all officers and employees to complete their registration process on the portal by November seventh. As per the order issued by the department, this system will be mandatory for recording the attendance of all officers and employees working in the Ministry. Necessary details for registration must be filled in the departmental portal section.

Air Force – Aerobatic Show

An aerobatic show will be organized by the Indian Air Force in Nava Raipur on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the State’s formation. On this occasion, the Air Force’s ‘Surya Kiran’ team will perform displays such as ‘Bomb Burst’, ‘Heart-in-the-Sky’, and ‘Arrowhead’. The preparations for the event, a joint effort of the State Government and the Indian Air Force, are in the final stages. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that this historic occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s formation, this show will symbolize the state’s development, confidence, and the flight of national pride. This display will not only strengthen the feeling of patriotism and pride in our youth but also inspire them towards national service.

Chief Minister – Deep Mahotsav

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the Deep Mahotsav (Festival of Lights) program at Gurudham, in Bhuiyapani village of Raigarh district. On this occasion, he bowed before the idols of his Gurudev Swami Dhanpati Panda and Premshila Panda and wished for the happiness, peace, prosperity, and well-being of the state’s residents. Chief Minister Sai said that this Deepotsav should spread light, happiness, prosperity, peace, and love in every home and every life. During the program, he also offered prayers at the Shiva temple and Hanuman temple. In the program, the Chief Minister announced the construction of a fully equipped building at Gurudham at a cost of one crore rupees, along with other declarations. Furthermore, the Chief Minister listened to the problems of the people in his native village Bagia and accepted their applications. On this occasion, he instructed the district administration officials to promptly resolve the applications related to their departments.

Policemen – Suspended

Superintendent of Police Rajesh Agrawal has suspended two policemen on security duty following the escape of two prisoners from Ambikapur District Hospital. According to the information received, two prisoners from Surajpur District Jail were admitted to the jail ward of Ambikapur District Hospital due to illness. During the night of Diwali, both prisoners escaped by deceiving the policemen posted on security duty. Taking the incident seriously, the Superintendent of Police suspended the two policemen on security duty, Head Constable Isdor Ekka and Constable Sanesh Bakhal. The search for the escaped prisoners is underway.

Govardhan Puja

The festival of Govardhan Puja and Annakut is being celebrated today with enthusiasm and joy across the state, including the capital Raipur. On this day, Gau-Mata (Cow Mother) is worshipped and offered Khichdi (a dish). Prayers are also offered for the protection of livestock by constructing a Sohali (earthen dam). The Annakut and Govardhan Puja program was also organized at the ancient Dudhadhari Math in the capital Raipur. Reports of the Annakut and Govardhan Puja festival being celebrated in other districts of the state have also been received. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Govardhan Puja.

Meanwhile, the Gaura-Gauri procession was taken out at many places in the state today. Pandit Narayan Vaishnav explained that the Gaura-Gauri festival is celebrated as a symbol of the marriage of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. Also, the Yadav community across the state expressed their joy by performing Raut Nacha (folk dance) from house to house. It is noteworthy that the festivals of Bhai Dooj and Matar will be celebrated in the state tomorrow.

Chhath Festival

The four-day Chhath Mahaparv (great festival) will begin on October twenty-fifth with ‘Nahay Khay’. In a meeting organized by the Chhath Mahaparv Organizing Committee in Raipur, the blueprint for the Chhath Puja was prepared by the committee members. Rajesh Kumar Singh, President of the Chhath Mahaparv Organizing Committee, informed in a press conference in Raipur today that the committee has decided to celebrate Chhath Puja with grandeur and enthusiasm this year. He mentioned that the Chhath Puja festival is celebrated with great fanfare in Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhilai-Durg, Korba, Bastar, and other cities. In Raipur, Chhath Puja will be celebrated with great fanfare at Mahadev Ghat on the Kharun river, Vyas Talab in Bhanpuri, Jhanjh Talab in Nava Raipur, and the banks of other ponds, and at more than fifty places.

Railway – Train

Meanwhile, in view of the large number of passengers during Diwali and Chhath festivals, the Raipur Railway Administration has decided to run three express trains from Platform Number Seven instead of Platform Number Five. The Durg-Patna South Bihar Express and Durg-Chapra Sarnath Express will depart from twenty-second to twenty-seventh October, and the Gondia-Barauni Express will depart from twenty-third October, from Platform Number Seven. Passengers can directly reach Platform Number Seven from the Gudhiyari entrance of the station.

Children – Death

Yesterday, three children died after drowning in a pond in Hirauli Para village of Bijapur district. It is reported that all these children had gone to the pond to bathe. During this time, they drowned due to going into deep water. All three children belonged to the same locality and were said to be relatives.

Weather

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of South Chhattisgarh during the next twenty-four hours. Meteorologist Dr. Gayatri Vaani stated that rain may occur in the state once again from October twenty-fifth.
