Background of the Amendment
The original rules for the Combined Stenographers’ LDCE were published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) on 17th September 2025. The rules contained detailed criteria for ranking candidates who scored equal marks in various evaluation components of the examination.
What Has Changed
According to the G.S.R. 773(E) notification issued on 22nd October 2025, the government has revised the existing tie-breaking rule mentioned in Para 9(iv)(B)(d). The earlier rule prioritized the younger candidate in case of a tie, while the revised rule now gives preference to the senior candidate by age.

Implication of the Change
