The Himachal Pradesh government has announced revised honorarium rates for elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) across the state. The new rates will come into effect from April 1, 2025, ensuring better financial recognition for local governance officials.
Honorarium Details for Panchayati Raj Representatives
Zila Parishad Officials
- Chairperson: Rs. 25,000 per month
- Vice-Chairperson: Rs. 19,000 per month
- Member: Rs. 8,300 per month
Panchayat Samiti Officials
- Chairperson: Rs. 12,000 per month
- Vice-Chairperson: Rs. 9,000 per month
- Member: Rs. 7,500 per month
Gram Panchayat Officials
- Pradhan: Rs. 7,500 per month
- Up-Pradhan: Rs. 5,100 per month
- Members: Rs. 1,050 per meeting (subject to maximum of two meetings per month)
Effective Date and Implementation
The revised honorarium rates will be applicable from April 1, 2025. The government aims to strengthen local governance by recognizing the contributions of PRI representatives through these financial incentives.
