Special Campaign 5.0 Gains Momentum: Ministry of Culture Tackles Pendency and Promotes Swachhata

The Special Campaign 5.0 is in full swing, with a primary focus on minimizing pendency in government operations and institutionalizing Swachhata (cleanliness) as a fundamental value. The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with its attached, subordinate, and autonomous organizations, is actively engaging in the third week of the implementation phase, showcasing enthusiastic participation aligned with the campaign’s core objectives.This initiative underscores a robust commitment to efficient governance and fostering a clean, sustainable work environment. The campaign’s progress during the third week highlights tangible results across critical areas.

Key Achievements in the Third Week

Reduction in Public Grievances

  • 57 out of 114 identified pending public grievances have been successfully resolved.
  • Achieved a 50% success rate, demonstrating proactive grievance redressal.

Disposal of Appeals

  • 14 out of 29 pending public grievance appeals have been disposed of.
  • Success rate stands at approximately 50%, enhancing accountability in appeal handling.

File Management and Record Streamlining

From a total of 13,062 physical files targeted for review:

  • 5,794 files identified for weeding.
  • This systematic approach is streamlining office record-keeping and improving operational efficiency.

Cleanliness Campaigns

  • 444 cleanliness campaigns conducted against a target of 599.
  • Covers outdoor areas across various sites and offices, achieving a 74% success rate.
  • Reinforces Swachhata as a core cultural value within the ministry.

Space Management and Revenue Generation

  • Approximately 28,570 square feet of office space freed up through scrap disposal.
  • Generated revenue of ₹7,38,732 for the Ministry, optimizing resources and promoting sustainability.

The Ministry of Culture is steadfast in its dedication to sustaining this momentum through the remainder of Special Campaign 5.0. By prioritizing efficiency, accountability, and Swachhata, the ministry aims to set a benchmark for effective public administration.
