Background of the Recommendations

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) vide its reference dated 23rd April 2024 had sought recommendations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) under section 11 (1)(a)(i) of the TRAI Act, 1997 on formulating a digital radio broadcast policy for private Radio broadcasters.

Initial Recommendations Submitted

TRAI sent its Recommendations on “Formulating a Digital Radio Broadcast Policy for private Radio broadcasters” to the Government on 3rd October 2025.

Corrigendum Details

A corrigendum to TRAI’s aforesaid recommendations has been issued today and is available on TRAI’s website : www.trai.gov.in.
