The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced an extension for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz 2026, with the new participation deadline set for October 31, 2025. Hosted on the MY Bharat Portal, the quiz has already seen an impressive participation of over 20 lakh youth from across India, prompting this extension due to overwhelming enthusiasm.

About the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue Quiz 2026

The VBYLD Quiz 2026 serves as the first stage of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue, an initiative to engage India’s youth in shaping a developed India by 2047. Conducted online via the MY Bharat Portal, the quiz tests participants’ knowledge about the nation while encouraging them to share innovative ideas for India’s future.

  • Encourages participation from every State and Union Territory.
  • Assesses knowledge and fosters a shared vision for a developed India.
  • Offers digital participation certificates to all participants.
  • Top 10,000 winners receive MY Bharat goodies and advance to the next stage.
  • Selected youth will get the opportunity to share their ideas directly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Accessible Participation via MY Bharat App and CSC Centres

The MY Bharat Mobile Application simplifies participation with a user-friendly, one-click quiz access feature, empowering youth through technology. To ensure inclusivity, the MY Bharat Portal collaborates with Common Service Centres (CSCs), enabling youth in rural areas to register and participate through over five lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). This ensures that every young Indian, from urban to rural regions, can join this transformative movement.

Exciting Tracks at VBYLD 2026

Selected participants will represent their States and Union Territories at the VBYLD 2026 event in New Delhi, January 2026. The competition features five dynamic tracks:

  • Cultural and Innovation Track: Celebrates India’s traditional art forms and fosters interest in science and technology through the Science Mela.
  • Viksit Bharat Challenge Track: Encourages youth to propose actionable solutions for national challenges in governance, education, energy, climate, and digital inclusion.
  • Design for Bharat Track: Promotes design thinking to create innovative, practical solutions for real-world developmental issues.
  • Hack for a Social Cause Track: Mobilizes young innovators to develop scalable, technology-based solutions for social issues via a national-level hackathon.
  • Diaspora Youth Participation Track: Engages 100 young members of the global Indian diaspora, including participants from the Know India Programme (KIP) and BIMSTEC countries, fostering international collaboration.

Global Youth Engagement

The VBYLD 2026 extends beyond India, inviting young Indians abroad to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. The Diaspora Youth Participation Track includes approximately 80 participants from the Ministry of External Affairs’ Know India Programme and a 20-member delegation from BIMSTEC countries, promoting global youth collaboration and exchange.
