Introduction to Special Campaign 5.0
The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) launched Special Campaign 5.0 to reduce pendency in government offices and promote cleanliness. Implemented in two phases—Preparatory Phase (September 16–30, 2025) and Main Phase (October 2–31, 2025)—the campaign emphasizes proper e-waste disposal as a key focus area.
Comprehensive Cleanliness Initiatives
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) has undertaken extensive cleanliness drives across its headquarters, subordinate/attached offices, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) nationwide. During the Main Phase (October 2–31, 2025), dedicated efforts have been made to meet campaign targets. All offices have been encouraged to follow government guidelines for e-waste disposal and explore innovative ways to utilize e-waste.
Innovative E-Waste Utilization
Subordinate and attached offices under DA&FW have actively participated in the campaign. Notably, Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes have created models of agricultural equipment, such as drones, tractors, and cultivators, using e-waste. These models were showcased during a workshop, highlighting the department’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Workshop on Public Grievances and Campaign Goals
On October 9, 2025, DA&FW, in collaboration with DARPG, organized a workshop on Public Grievances and Special Campaign 5.0. The event was addressed by the Secretary of DA&FW and the Secretary of DARPG, with senior officers and nodal officers in attendance. The workshop focused on sensitizing participants about the NextGen CPGRAMS portal and the objectives of Special Campaign 5.0. During the event, booklets on work allocation and submission channels in DA&FW were jointly unveiled by the secretaries. The Secretary of DARPG commended the innovative e-waste models displayed by the Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes.
Krishi Rakshak Portal: Empowering Farmers
DA&FW showcased its robust grievance redressal system, the Krishi Rakshak Portal, during the workshop. A 3D physical model of the portal was also displayed, underscoring the department’s commitment to addressing farmers’ concerns efficiently.
Social Media Outreach
By the midpoint of Special Campaign 5.0 (October 17, 2025), DA&FW and its attached/subordinate offices posted four PIB notes and over 150 updates on social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, to highlight campaign progress.
