Rajasthan Public Relations Meeting

Jaipur, 6 November. The Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant stated that the state administration is undertaking significant initiatives to improve public welfare and infrastructure. In this context, the Information and Public Relations Department has wide scope to expand outreach of government policies and achievements. He urged Public Relations officers to work with a sense of responsibility and adopt a proactive approach in their respective districts and departments. He emphasized that content must be effective, especially when it highlights human stories that connect directly with people.

Call for Strong Narrative Building

The Chief Secretary chaired a review meeting through video conferencing to assess ongoing communication efforts. He noted that along with coverage of programs, PR officers play a key role in fostering trust and credibility among citizens. He encouraged them to participate actively in narrative building and in shaping positive public perception.

Role as Advisors to District and Department Leadership

The officers were encouraged to expand their role by supporting collectors, secretaries and ministers in planning publicity strategies. Pant directed them to verify misleading information promptly and issue factual reports so that accurate details reach the public. He also suggested adopting media strategies to strengthen the pace of dissemination.

Enhancing Reach on Social Media Platforms

Noting the importance of social media, Pant said that PR officers must remain responsive at all times. Timely clarification on misleading narratives is essential. He suggested targeted efforts to increase reach and to present government accomplishments with comparative data to highlight progress.

Focus on Strong and Accessible Content

He described the department as the eyes, ears and voice of the government. PR officials were asked to prepare a repository of photographs, videos and success stories to support messaging when needed. He also recommended integrating rich and meaningful content into government advertisements.

Earlier, Commissioner and Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department, Sandesh Nayak, presented details regarding various communication activities. Senior officers and district-level PR officials from across the state joined the meeting through video conferencing.
