Cairo, November 10, 2025: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the transport sector. The agreement was signed by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of the Transport General Authority (TGA) of Saudi Arabia, Saleh Al-Jasser, and Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the regular session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport, held in Cairo under the chairmanship of Kuwait. The event witnessed the participation of transport ministers from several Arab countries, reflecting the shared commitment to strengthen regional cooperation in transport and logistics.
Key Objectives of the Agreement
The newly signed MoU aims to reinforce collaboration in the area of road transport and promote mutual exchange of expertise, experiences, and technical knowledge. It also supports joint scientific studies and research projects between the Saudi Roads General Authority (RGA) and Egypt’s National Institute of Transport.
