State Government to Celebrate Third Anniversary in Mandi District

The Himachal Pradesh government will hold a state-level event in Mandi district on December 11 to commemorate the completion of three years of its tenure. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired a review meeting to assess the preparations and directed all departments to ensure that arrangements are completed on schedule.
A high-powered committee has been formed to finalize the venue, comprising Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, and Dharampur MLA Chander Shekhar. The Chief Minister said the event will prominently showcase the government’s ‘Vyavstha Parivartan’ (Systemic Changes) initiatives and the positive transformation achieved over the past three years.
On this occasion, a Coffee Table Book will be released highlighting key government achievements and departmental reforms. Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister, Ram Subhag Singh, has been appointed as the coordinator to compile this information. The event will also include participation from beneficiaries of various government schemes, and individuals who have made notable contributions in different fields will be felicitated.
Chief Minister Sukhu noted that substantial reforms have been implemented in education, health, and the rural economy, leading to visible improvement in the state’s overall financial condition and increased revenue generation. He also directed the preparation of a two-year roadmap aimed at accelerating developmental activities and ensuring that government priorities reach the grassroots level. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of delivering more services at citizens’ doorsteps, promoting digital governance, and strengthening transparency and accountability across departments.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Colonel (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, and Principal Advisor Ram Subhag Singh attended the meeting. Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and senior officers were also present, while Deputy Commissioners participated virtually.
Health Minister Emphasizes Transparent and Quick Procurement of Medical Equipment
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil chaired a meeting of the High Power Purchase Committee (HPPC) and directed officials to expedite the tender and procurement processes for health-related equipment and supplies. He emphasized that the entire system must remain transparent and reliable to ensure that quality healthcare services reach every corner of Himachal Pradesh.
The minister stated that the government is committed to providing state-of-the-art medical equipment, diagnostic, and laboratory services across all health institutions in the state. “The quality healthcare must reach even the remotest areas, and for that, the government is ensuring that advanced machinery is available throughout the state,” he said.
Dr. Shandil instructed that the installation of health machinery be completed at the earliest to minimize dependence on private service providers or institutions located outside the state. He reiterated that the modernization and strengthening of health infrastructure, along with the expansion of quality healthcare services, remain top priorities of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s administration. He assured that financial constraints would not hinder the fulfillment of healthcare requirements.
He further directed the concerned departments to establish a robust and transparent system to ensure quick and seamless procurement of essential medical supplies. Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, HPMSCL Managing Director Divyanshu Singal, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
