The Defence Headquarters Training Institute (DHTI) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), Nagpur, and the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute (VVGNLI), Noida, at South Block, New Delhi, on November 26, 2025. The agreements are intended to enhance cooperation in training, research, administrative coordination, and capacity development, while promoting efficient use of resources and sustained knowledge sharing across government training institutions.

The collaborations reflect the emphasis by Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh during AFHQ Day 2025 on strengthening the national training ecosystem. He highlighted training as an ongoing process of professional development rather than a procedural formality, stressing skill enhancement, ethical orientation, and behavioural excellence as key components of modern capacity building.

The MoUs establish a structured framework to optimise institutional resources, encourage knowledge exchange, and reduce duplication of efforts within the training network. They aim to advance collaboration in curriculum development, joint training programmes, research initiatives, and administrative coordination.

This development marks a step forward in DHTI’s efforts to serve as a central hub for inter-institutional coordination. By reinforcing connections with national bodies engaged in administration, labour studies, taxation, governance, and public administration, DHTI seeks to support a robust and future-ready training ecosystem for civil and defence administrative cadres.

The MoUs were signed in the presence of Joint Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer Shri Amitabh Prasad. Representing the partnering institutions were Director General of VVGNLI, Dr Arvind, and Additional Director General (P&R) of NADT, Nagpur, Shri Aakash Dewangan. Senior officials from the Armed Forces Headquarters and dignitaries from the participating institutions were also present.
