Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauds India’s Deaflympics contingent after they achieved a record-breaking 20 medals, including 9 gold, at the 25th Summer Deaflympics 2025 in Tokyo.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, conveyed his congratulations to India’s Deaflympians for their performance at the 25th Summer Deaflympics 2025 held in Tokyo.

India achieved a best-ever total of 20 medals, which included 9 gold medals. The athletes were acknowledged for demonstrating determination and dedication in their competitions.

The Prime Minister praised the athletes, coaches, and support staff for their continuous efforts and commitment. He noted that their achievements have earned recognition for the country.

He stated, “Heartiest congratulations to our Deaflympians for their extraordinary performance at the 25th Summer Deaflympics 2025 in Tokyo. With a historic best-ever medal tally of 20 medals including 9 Golds, our athletes have once again proven that determination and dedication can lead to outstanding results.
