PM to Participate in the 60th All India Conference of Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police in Raipur

Prime Minister will take part in the 60th edition of the All India Conference of Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police on 29-30 November 2025 at the Indian Institute of Management, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Theme and Objectives

The three-day Conference, scheduled from 28 to 30 November, aims to assess the progress made in addressing key policing challenges and to outline a forward-looking roadmap for building a Surakshit Bharat in alignment with the national vision of Viksit Bharat. Held under the theme Viksit Bharat: Security Dimensions, the Conference will include detailed discussions on issues such as Left Wing Extremism, counter terrorism, disaster management, women’s safety, and the use of forensic science and artificial intelligence in policing. During the event, the Prime Minister will confer the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service.

Interactive Platform for Security Leadership

The Conference offers an important platform for senior Police leaders and security administrators from across the country to engage in open exchanges on a broad range of national security concerns. It enables discussions on operational, infrastructural, and welfare-related challenges faced by Police forces, along with the development and sharing of professional practices for crime prevention, maintaining law and order, and responding to internal security threats.

Prime Minister’s Engagement

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has regularly shown interest in this annual Conference, encouraging direct and constructive interactions. Business sessions, break-out engagements, and thematic dining table discussions give participants the opportunity to share their perspectives with the Prime Minister on significant internal security and policy matters.

Evolution of the Conference Format

Since 2014, the Conference format has been continuously upgraded under the Prime Minister’s guidance, including its organization in various locations across the country. Previous editions have been held in Guwahati in Assam, the Rann of Kachchh in Gujarat, Hyderabad in Telangana, Tekanpur in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, the Statue of Unity in Kevadiya in Gujarat, Pune in Maharashtra, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Jaipur in Rajasthan, and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Continuing this approach, the 60th DGsP and IGsP Conference is being conducted this year in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Participants

The Conference will be attended by the Union Home Minister, the National Security Adviser, Ministers of State for Home Affairs, DGPs of States and Union Territories, and Heads of Central Police Organisations. To introduce new perspectives and innovative ideas, Heads of the Home Department of States and Union Territories and selected Police officers in the ranks of DIG and SP will also join the Conference in person this year.
