Five young women drowned in the Ganga river while bathing at the Shyampur Bachhpara Ganga Ghat under the Mufassil police station area of Munger district. Bodies of three women have been recovered, while search operations are underway for the other two. Administrative officers are camping at the spot.
In a separate incident, a young man drowned at the Tikarampur Ganga Ghat under the same Mufassil police station area.
