What is Mental Health?

Due to increasing mental stress, the Government of India has extended the operation of the Tele-MANAS mental health service until October 26. The service will be available 24 hours a day from October 24. People experiencing mental stress can call the toll-free number 1800-11-7800 anytime to seek counseling. Alternatively, by dialing 1922, they can access mental health services 24 hours a day from October 24.

Information and Public Relations (I&PR)

The state government has launched a new public awareness campaign. Eight mobile publicity vans will travel across the state and its districts to raise awareness about government welfare schemes. Both central and state government schemes will be promoted through these vans to ensure people are informed about the benefits. Since 1950, 25,000 awareness campaigns have been conducted, and this year, additional campaigns are underway to further spread awareness.

Agricultural Information and Public Relations (I&PR)

From November 11, eight mobile publicity vans will operate across the state to promote agricultural awareness. These vans will educate farmers about state agricultural schemes, modern farming techniques, soil testing, and other agricultural practices. Farmers will also be informed about government agricultural schemes, encouraging them to adopt modern farming methods. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed officials to ensure farmers across all districts are aware of these schemes. He emphasized that the state’s agricultural department will work tirelessly to support farmers and ensure they benefit from these initiatives.

To promote tourism, awareness, and education in Sambalpur, the district administration has launched several initiatives. These include digital centers, mobile libraries, science centers, book fairs, and exhibitions to promote tourism and education. Additionally, from October 26 to 29, fire safety awareness programs will be held in schools and colleges to educate students about fire prevention.
