Nationwide Clean-Up and Greening Efforts
Offices at the headquarters, regional units, and public sector bodies joined hands for thorough cleaning across locations. Several centres also planted trees and tidied up nearby public areas. Addressing farmer complaints linked to major schemes topped the list of goals.
Besides the central portal open to all citizens, separate online platforms now handle issues under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi and the crop insurance programme. The Union Agriculture Minister holds regular reviews with top officials to check how well these farmer concerns get settled. The department head set clear targets for the October action period.
Training Workshop and Best Practices
A full-day session on handling public complaints and the campaign took place on 9 October 2025, jointly with the administrative reforms wing. Senior officials from both sides spoke to participants.

Field-level farm machinery institutes turned discarded electronic parts into working models of drones, tractors, and cultivators. These creations went on display at the workshop and earned praise from the reforms secretary as smart reuse examples under the waste-to-wealth idea.
Strong Support System for Farmers
A dedicated Krishi Rakshak portal now offers farmers a single window to sort out crop insurance disputes, adding to the main grievance channel.
Throughout the drive, the department and its field units released five press information notes and shared over 274 updates on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook to keep the public informed.
Key Outcomes in Numbers
All set targets for site clean-ups and file reviews were met in full. Pending parliamentary references dropped sharply, while the bulk of citizen complaints and appeals found resolution. Old records were cleared to free up office space, and auctions of unusable items brought in funds for further use.
