Indian Naval Academy to Hold Passing Out Parade for Autumn Term 2025

The Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, is set to conduct the Passing Out Parade for the Autumn Term on 29 Nov 25. The event marks the completion of an extensive training program as cadets prepare to join the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and friendly foreign navies as Officers. General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, will preside over the parade as the Reviewing Officer.
The Passing Out Parade is regarded as a significant tradition of the Indian Navy, representing its emphasis on discipline, honour, and professional standards. The ceremony will include coordinated drill movements, structured procedures, and a display of military bearing. Midshipmen and cadets from the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard will participate, along with international trainees from Bangladesh, Maldives, Mozambique, Myanmar, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, reflecting ongoing maritime cooperation and defence engagement.
Dignitaries and Key Highlights
The event will be attended by dignitaries, senior naval officials, parents, instructors, and mentors who have supported the cadets throughout their training. Key elements of the ceremony include the Review of the Parade, presentation of medals and trophies to cadets who have excelled during training, and the ceremonial Shipping of Stripes, which signifies the commissioning of cadets as Officers.
