The Annual Meeting of the Joint Electro Magnetic Board, a subcommittee of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations) Air Marshal Rakesh Sinha on November 20, 2025 in New Delhi. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among the three Services for Joint Operations and addressed agendas related to joint functioning and integration in areas such as electronic warfare, EMI and EMC, counter-unmanned aircraft systems operations, emerging technologies and spectrum management.

The event featured a demonstration of the Electromagnetic Battlespace Management System aimed at enhancing the utilisation of the spectrum in the Tactical Battlefield Area. The Technical News Letter 2025, which highlights future technologies relevant to evolving warfare requirements, was also released during the proceedings.

During his remarks, Air Marshal Rakesh Sinha recognised the contributions of the Services in the conduct of Operation Sindoor and the subsequent joint training activities undertaken to implement the insights gained. He also noted the advancements being made in specialised technology sectors through the combined efforts of Defence PSUs, industry partners and academic institutions, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Aatmanirbharta.
