AJNIFM Launches New Courses On iGOT Karmayogi

Shri V. Vualnam, Secretary, Department of Expenditure, inaugurated four new digital learning courses created by the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management under the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. The courses aim to support capacity building in public finance and governance through digital learning.

Government focus on innovation-led capacity building

During the launch, Shri V. Vualnam highlighted the government’s emphasis on innovation in training and the need for continuous professional development for civil servants. He noted that the courses use the iGOT Karmayogi platform to enhance accessibility and effectiveness of learning.

He also underscored the significance of continuous professional development and the contribution of digital learning to improving fiscal governance. He appreciated AJNIFM’s effort to integrate emerging financial technologies, analytical tools and practical applications into its curriculum, adding that these efforts align with the government’s focus on innovation-led capacity building in the public sector.

Shri Praveen Kumar, Director of AJNIFM, stated that the institute remains dedicated to advancing learning in financial management, data analytics and governance reforms.

Newly launched courses

The four digital courses introduced on the iGOT Karmayogi platform are:

FinTech in India: Growth Story and Regulatory Framework

Disposal of Scrap Goods

Cash Flow Statement in Financial Analysis

Investment Management using Fixed Income Securities

These courses aim to strengthen analytical, financial and procedural skills of government officials. Their availability on the digital platform supports a broader culture of continuous learning and upskilling under the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building.

The launch event was attended by senior officials from the Department of Expenditure and members of the AJNIFM team involved in developing the courses. The initiative reflects AJNIFM’s ongoing efforts to promote financial prudence, enhance analytical capabilities and encourage transparency in governance through digital learning.
