UAE to Strengthen Mobility and Manufacturing Ecosystem

Dubai Industrial City, a part of TECOM Group PJSC, has entered into an agreement with Legend Holding Group to set up a major automotive and green energy facility worth AED300 million. The upcoming development will become a key part of the UAE’s growing manufacturing network, reflecting the country’s ambitions for sustainable industrial expansion.

Planned to open in 2027, the facility will span more than one million square feet. It is designed as a comprehensive hub that unites all aspects of the automotive supply chain, from assembly lines to distribution and aftersales services, under one roof.

Boosting the UAE’s Automotive and EV Sector

According to Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, the initiative aligns perfectly with Dubai’s long-term economic vision. He noted that strengthening the mobility sector plays a vital role in advancing future-oriented industrial growth.

He further explained that the upcoming integrated hub will not only enhance local manufacturing capacity but also fortify the automotive supply chain across the wider region. Dubai’s strategic infrastructure and logistics advantages make it an ideal location for projects that drive innovation and foster a sustainable industrial base.

Legend Holding’s Role in EV and Hybrid Manufacturing

As part of the project, the new facility will include specialised assembly zones for Legend Motorcycles. The company plans to produce up to 15,000 electric and non-electric industrial motorcycles annually. The hub will also provide aftersales services for multiple Legend Motors dealerships, covering petrol-powered, electric, and plug-in hybrid models.

Dubai Industrial City’s Expanding Industrial Landscape

Dubai Industrial City already serves as a home for more than 1,100 clients and hosts over 350 operational factories. Its six sector-based zones offer a master-planned infrastructure that connects regional and global markets efficiently. The addition of Legend Holding’s integrated automotive hub is expected to further strengthen the city’s position as a cornerstone of the UAE’s manufacturing ambitions.
