Abdullah bin Zayed Meets US Presidential Advisor to Discuss Situation in Sudan

ABU DHABI H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met in Abu Dhabi with Massad Boulos, Advisor to the US President for African and Arab Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the regional situation, with particular focus on the ongoing civil war in Sudan. They also discussed ways to strengthen regional and international efforts aimed at ending the crisis, protecting civilians, and ensuring uninterrupted humanitarian assistance.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed commended the efforts of US President Donald Trump toward achieving lasting security and stability in Sudan.
He affirmed the UAE’s support for these efforts and for regional and international initiatives seeking an immediate and unconditional ceasefire. He noted that such steps would help alleviate the hardship faced by the Sudanese population and support their legitimate aspirations for security, stability, and a dignified life.
H.H. stressed the importance of a political and civilian-led path to end the crisis, underscoring the need to intensify efforts to conclude the civil war that has continued for more than two years.
The discussions also covered several issues related to the strategic relationship between the UAE and the United States.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State.
