KSrelief, UNDP Partner to Strengthen Global Crisis Response

Riyadh — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), held a workshop in Riyadh on November 18 and 19, focused on advancing the nexus approach to humanitarian, development, and peace efforts in global crisis response.
The workshop offered an in-depth overview of the nexus approach, highlighting its significance and practical implementation. Participants examined detailed case studies from the Middle East, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan.
Discussions explored the key obstacles facing the application of the nexus approach and opportunities to strengthen coordination among humanitarian, development, and peace actors, aiming to enhance collective capacity to meet urgent needs, prevent conflict, and support sustainable recovery.
This initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration between KSrelief and the United Nations and its specialized agencies, reinforcing joint efforts to exchange expertise and develop more effective mechanisms for responding to global humanitarian crises.
