
Lisbon, November 11, 2025: A delegation from the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) has begun its visit to Lisbon for the Web Summit Lisbon 2025, accompanied by Saudi entrepreneurs seeking international growth opportunities.
Promoting Saudi Startups in Global Markets
The delegation’s visit aims to strengthen the presence of Saudi entrepreneurs in international markets by integrating them into European innovation ecosystems and facilitating global partnerships. This initiative is conducted in collaboration with the Unicorn Factory Lisboa, which organizes events and field tours for participating entrepreneurs.
First-Day Activities: Innovation Districts and AI Insights
On the first day, the delegation visited the Alvalade Innovation District and attended a workshop titled “A World of AI,” presented by Google. The workshop focused on emerging artificial intelligence trends relevant to startups. Delegates also engaged in dialogue sessions with founders and investors during the “Networking Madness” event, which emphasized sharing experiences and exploring opportunities within the European market.
Learning from European Unicorns
The delegation toured the Beato Innovation District, one of Europe’s largest innovation hubs. The visit provided insights into Portuguese companies that have achieved Unicorn status. Delegates also participated in specialized sessions covering marketing and growth strategies tailored for entering new international markets.
