Sport Minister Attends Closing Ceremony of Islamic Solidarity Games Riyadh 2025

Riyadh Minister of Sport, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal attended the closing ceremony of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games Riyadh 2025, which concluded yesterday at the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University sports stadium in Riyadh.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia placed fourth in the games, earning a total of 57 medals, including 18 gold, 12 silver and 27 bronze.
Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee vice president and chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the Games Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed was also present at the event.
During the closing ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki delivered a speech expressing gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his patronage of the tournament, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his support for the sports sector, which he noted contributed to the success of the tournament.
He then formally transferred the hosting rights for the seventh edition of the games to Malaysia and extended his wishes for its success in organizing an event that upholds the legacy of solidarity and achievement.
The closing ceremony featured Saudi artistic and cultural performances, recognition of volunteers, a parade of participating nations and a video presenting notable moments from the games.
