Riyadh – The Saudi athletics team claimed first place and the gold medal in the 4×100 m relay at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games (Riyadh 2025), held at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City.

The relay team, comprised of Mohammed Dawood, Abdulaziz Attafi, Abdulaziz Al‑Jadaani, and Abdullah Abkar, finished first with a time of 39.19 seconds. Oman claimed the silver with a time of 39.21 seconds, while Nigeria took bronze at 39.51 seconds.

Saudi Paralympic athlete Ali Al‑Nakhli secured Saudi Arabia’s second gold medal of the day, winning the 100 m (T37) race in 11.46 seconds. Algeria claimed silver, while Egypt earned bronze.

His teammate, Nada Al‑Humaidani earned second place and the silver medal in the discus throw (F56) event with a throw of 17.23 m.

With these results, Saudi Arabia’s total at the Islamic Solidarity Games rose to 39 medals: 11 gold, six silver, and 22 bronze.
